Join a well established leading medium sized manufacturing company marketing and selling a diverse range of precast concrete, plastic and metal product primarily into the civil construction & infrastructure markets – road, rail, mining, energy, and telecommunications. Their diverse range of product, varying channels to market, and their innovative and strong customer service focus, has enabled the company to develop a position of strength allowing them to continue to expand in order to meet market demands.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for taking a proactive and strategic sales approach enabling the company to maximize their position in the sales of infrastructure products and achieve set sales / margin budgets and increase market share. This will entail implementing an appropriate sales and marketing plan, building on the company’s profile, further establishing customer relationships (Civil Builders, Contractors, Specifiers, Utilities, Government, Mining & Energy), sourcing and managing tenders / specifications, providing market intelligent etc
You will demonstrate a successful and proven track record in the construction / infrastructure (road / rail) sector with heavy building materials (eg concrete / quarry / precast ) - as a senior sales, BDM or Sales Manager OR have a network of contacts in mining & energy, Utilities, Telco’s – and have had responsibility of a sales budget exceeding $5M+. Whilst sales team leadership would be desirable, it is not critical. You will however, demonstrate: strong strategic and analytical skills, experience with tender / specification project documentation, superior communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills, be well presented, results focused and commercially savvy.
