Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for further developing strong relationships with existing customers throughout Australia & NZ, as well as proactively developing new relationships within this sector to achieve company set revenue / profit budgets. This will include: developing and executing a strategic sales plan for the business, managing key relationships at multiple levels in order to understand your customers current and future needs, tailoring appropriate solutions, preparing and presenting estimates, and working internally with the company’s team to promote the full capabilities of the business. You may also be involved in organizing customer presentations overseas, attending and networking at trade shows, key industry groups, conferences etc, as well as sales management reporting to provide the company with key construction information pertaining to the market segment.
You will have a background in the construction materials sector in Australia - in particular knowledge of asphalt product, plant, equipment, service or sales. Ideally, you will have built a strong network of contacts / customers, and be considered a professional credible executive in this specialized field. A strong sales and business development background accustomed to long term sales processes would be ideal, however candidates with a technical background with sales capability could also be of interest. Further, you will possess strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, understand how to strategically develop business at a senior level, and have the capability to maximise all commercial opportunities and promote the company’s differentiation in how they apply themselves to their business. Travel required. Salary commensurate with experience. Strong bonus component.
